SINGFEST 10 (Singapore's Music Festival)
Singfest is back! Bigger and better than ever. Fans will be spoiled by this year’s stunning line-up with headliners such as American pop-star Katy Perry, Grammy award-winning rapperKanye West and alternative legend Smashing Pumpkins.
The stage will be steaming hot, so be ready to sweat it out. Kicking off the festival on the 3rd August are all girl 60’s style band The Like, Australian singer-guitarist Orianthi, Korean sensation Wonder Girls, German phenomenon Tokio Hotel, and the sizzling Katy Perry.
Adding flavour to the 4th August line-up are soulful Jully Black, bluesy Diane Birch and hip hop superstar Lupe Fiasco. And where old school fun is cherished with Kool and the Gang, you’ll also get notoriously talented Kanye West on a love lockdown. Midweek Wednesday is move and groove and this is where you party all night long.
For the music rebels, 5th August is the time to blow your mind away with your favourite bands. Get to the front of stage and be electrified by the diverse sounds of Smashing Pumpkins, Hail the Villain, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Vines and Ian Brown.

Bringing extra fun to Singfest 2010, Silent Disco will be playing daily at the Gallery Room in the Fort Canning Building. Revellers will encounter a premier-night entertainment brought by deejays djOD and Big King Bing complete with the standard club elements including hypnotic light displays, laser and fog machine to set the vibe. A set of headphones equipped with bass and treble controls will be handed out where the crowd can individually decide their preferred volume intensity. Tranquil clubbers can groove to dance remixes of contemporary hits, house, alternative and electro beamed through two different channels.
The last Singfest held in 2008 sold out, attracting 20,000 fans over 2 days. This year, dates are extended due to popular demand making it a 3-day festival. Doors will open daily at 5pm with the first act to come on at 6pm.
